Tobacco Technologist (m/f/d) – Full-time

Are you knowledgeable about tobacco and nicotine products, possess a keen sensory sense, and are interested in the application and effects of flavorings? Then we would like to get to know you!

As tobacco–technologist (m/f/d) You will be involved in the application and sensory evaluation of our flavorings in various tobacco and nicotine products. You will work closely with our flavorists, sales team, and other specialist departments.

Your tasks:

• Regular application and sensory evaluation of our flavors in classic tobacco products, shisha products, e-cigarettes and oral nicotine products as part of professional application tests
• Selection of suitable flavors from our database based on customer requirements and sensory target profiles, as well as coordination of the pre-selection with our flavorists
• Application of the selected aromas in the respective end product, sensory evaluation of the results, and precise documentation of the application tests
• Continuous development and deepening of knowledge about tobacco and nicotine products, flavors, dosages and their effects in the respective applications.
• Support in the development and optimization of aroma solutions as well as in handling application-related customer inquiries.
• Independent completion of the required documentation for tobacco products relevant under customs law.

Your profile:

• A completed scientific or technical education, e.g. as a chemical laboratory assistant, CTA, PTA or a comparable qualification
• Ideally, professional experience in the tobacco, nicotine or flavorings industry and knowledge of the corresponding applications.
• Experience in the sensory evaluation of flavors, tobacco, or similar products is advantageous.
• A very good sense of smell and taste, and a strong interest in sensory relationships.
• The ability and willingness to regularly test and evaluate the effects of our flavorings in tobacco and nicotine products through professional application tests.
• Ideally, knowledge of customs regulations regarding tobacco excise duties; or the willingness and interest to familiarize oneself with this subject area.
• A careful, structured and independent work style as well as good German and English skills.
• A valid residence and work permit for Germany
